"Let's collaborate to move forward."
This website is about my graphic, programming and musical experiences. I want to pass on my skills and knowledge. I hope they are useful.
If you run a company and offer a one or two week internship, please contact me and send me an email.
My professional background is the result of constant change and development. 12 years ago, after an internship in the web development industry, I got a job as a graphic designer in an agency. Since I have always been very interested in jazz music, I started taking music lessons as a bassist seven years ago. 30 years ago, I discovered the great potential of wine by chance. That's when I started offering wine seminars and writing reports about wine.
Gaining valuable experience is what drives me. And because I usually find normal vacations boring, I look for alternatives. When I go on vacation, I like to visit music festivals, but I would also like to immerse myself in exciting work areas for a few weeks.

Graphic Design
PRINT, WEB & VIDEO POSTS
“CROSS MEDIA – One unified layout concept for print, web and social media video posts”
Nowadays we have to use different information channels to reach our target audience.
As a graphic designer, it's important to me to create content for all common media types. From artwork and layout for print and web, to programmed websites, to video contributions. This is one of my unique selling points.
This means transferring a design idea from a print version to a website and from there to a social media campaign and requires knowledge of different technologies and disciplines.
Fortunately, there are powerful tools and technologies to overcome this challenge, such as the Adobe Creative Suite app, the Figma app, the Bootstrap framework, artificial intelligence technology, the package manager for JavaScript and more.

Artwork

Final Artwork
“One of the most important terms in commercial printing”
Final artwork (FA) is the last approved version of a digital file before printing and is therefore one of the most important steps in commercial printing.
FA is essential because many changes need to be made to the original digital copy. This ensures that the printed version looks the same as its digital counterpart. It is important to first clarify the specifications of the printer!
Factors
- Open and closed end format for print data
- Color management workflow
- Photoshop‘s batch processing
- Find and change commands with GREB
- Bleed and crop marks
- Image resolution
- File format
- Accessibility aspects
Coding
Web Coding
“Never trust a computer you can‘t throw out a window.” Steve Wozniak
The technology of the web is constantly evolving, as are the tools for writing code.
I use a wide range of tools that I highly recommend: package managers, front-end CSS frameworks, JavaScript libraries, CSS processors, version control systems and, last but not least, full-featured editor tools.
So it‘s fun to write code for responsive websites based on printed publications.
Factors
- Design principles to create better user interfaces
- Visual design principles for interactive screens
- Low- and high-fidelity prototype creation for modeling and usability testing
- Information hierarchy and architecture

My Side Projekts
Vido Production
In order to create video clips with the highest level of expression and individuality, I use the extensive functions of Photoshop to edit videos frame by frame. This advanced technology offers the highest level of control.
Editing hundreds or even thousands of images manually would be a huge challenge, but fortunately it can be overcome by automating all the necessary steps within Photoshop‘s capture commands and organizing them into action groups. Photoshop‘s batch processing feature saves a lot of time. It allows frame-by-frame editing. I use this technique for video production.
But we can go further because we can control Photoshop automation using various conditions and even create data-driven graphics using datasets. The combination of these expressive image sequences with the rhythmic music compositions makes my videos something very special and unique.
Illustration
Illustration is an important part of graphic design.
I like to paint with my hands but also with a digital drawing tablet or even with my camera. I find it fun and I like it.
When I take photos, I like to create sculptures out of light! I try to remove the subjects from their original form, rebuild them and remodulate them. It is a transformation process in which the original structure and texture is redesigned.
Special filters for the camera lens allow me to work with long exposure times even in sunlight and thus create photos with high dynamics. In my photography, I try to show everyday things in a different light.
From Rock‘n Roll to Bass & Noise
Bass & Noise music combines drum loops with groovy bass lines and the spicy granular texture of noise music. Most of the melody is played by electric bass guitar solos. The chords are often reduced to its root note.
The core of this rhythm-driven sound is the electric bass guitar, but the ambient drone synthesizer creates random noises to spice up the composition and create a unique, unreproducible sonic texture.
The result is bizarre but danceable sound constructions that arise in an organic process and are also the result of many random factors.
I have been producing bass & noise music tracks since 2022.
There are now a whole series of different bass and noise tracks that show up the range of sounds this style of music can cover.
But it is also the documentation of an evolutionary process and I am excited about the future results.

Wine Book
My wine book "Blind Tasting” is the essence of my many years of experience as a wine journalist and wine trainer.
In the wine seminar, time was short and precious.
That‘s why the book is compact and practical: whether it‘s about assessing the price-performance ratio, predicting the peak of bottle maturity or choosing the wine to accompany a meal, tasting is the interface to the conscious handling of wine.
